By the way, famous "Gull Wing" doors of Mercedes-Benz 300SL was designed that way to keep the body's stickness with wide threshold. And not because they were cool-looking.

Alex1: American cars are butt-ugly and look like WW2 battleships
Take a look at that 2010 Camaro! How brain-dead do you have to be to buy that? First, you might as well buy your own gas station. Second, it looks like a mix between a Humvee, a Batmobile, a silly Star Wars spaceship and a WW2 battleship. MY GOD, what is wrong with American automakers? Too much action figure TV?

A lot of automotive designers nowadays apply "agression" as a substitute for "speed", "lightness" and "swiftness". Just compare the angry BMW Gina concept with smooth Mercedes CLS Sculpture.
